Several interactive elements and structures are incorporated into the park, such as a focal entrance point, dog park, an elevated woonerf for community events, a pool courtyard, and outdoor kitchen spaces. To accommodate for Colorado’s increasing out-of-state movers, the site and surrounding community will become integrated through a series of social events organized by the apartment complex. Likewise, several group activities like outdoor games and communal seating will be placed throughout the site. By living in Southgate Flats, residents will have the resources they need to become acclimated to the Colorado community and feel right at home.
